2024 Sidelines & Stages Foundation Spelling Bee Championship: A Showcase of Spelling Brilliance

The 2024 Sidelines & Stages Foundation Spelling Bee Championship held on March 30th was a testament to the dedication and talent of young spellers from Essex County, NJ. Hosted at the Newark Boys and Girls Club Gymnasium, the championship featured 64 spellers competing for the coveted title.

After several intense rounds of spelling, Mariam Belkouchi emerged as the champion, clinching victory with the word "cygnet." Mariam will represent the Sidelines & Stages Foundation, Maarif School, and the entire Essex County community at the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
